Last September, I had the absolute pleasure of bringing Claire and Lee’s vision of classy, elegant autumnal wedding flowers to life. Their brief was all about timeless romance with a gentle nod to the season - refined, soft and beautifully in tune with early autumn.
Over the next couple of minutes, I’d love to take you behind the scenes of their wedding flowers at the stunning Millbridge Court, sharing how we designed florals that felt seasonal yet timeless, and hopefully inspiring you if you’re dreaming of your own autumnal wedding flowers.

Soft, Romantic Autumnal Wedding Flowers
Claire and Lee wanted their autumnal wedding flowers to feel natural and seasonal, echoing the colours and textures outside the windows, while still remaining soft, romantic and elegant. Autumn doesn’t always have to mean bold or bright - and this palette is a perfect example of how beautifully subtle autumn florals can be.
To achieve this look, I selected a gorgeous mix of textural, high-quality blooms. These included Quicksand and Teddy’s roses, fully opened White Majolica spray roses, the rich burgundy tones of Black Pierre dahlias, frilly two-toned peach lisianthus, Apricot matthiola, and one of my forever favourites - the stunning, chocolatey-brown lisianthus Rosanne Terracotta. I honestly never tire of this bloom; it adds the most beautiful warmth and depth to autumnal wedding flowers.
To finish the designs, I incorporated delicate seasonal textures such as crocosmia and soft panicum grass, adding movement and an unmistakable autumnal feel.

Autumnal Bridal and Bridesmaids Bouquets
Claire’s bridal bouquet was designed in my signature style - naturally shaped, slightly untamed, and layered with an abundance of beautiful blooms, balanced with just a touch of foliage. It was finished with long, flowing, three-toned silky ribbons in soft, complementary shades, adding movement, texture and a little extra drama.
The bouquet complemented Claire’s bridal gown perfectly - she looked absolutely radiant. Her bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, creating a cohesive, elegant look across the bridal party. Lee's and his groomsmen's buttonholes were highly textural and perfectly coordinated with the bouquets, tying everything together beautifully.

Elegant, Understated Autumnal Wedding Ceremony Flowers
Claire and Lee chose Millbridge Court’s stunning indoor ceremony space — and I can completely see why. Regardless of the weather, it’s a beautiful, light-filled room and the perfect backdrop for elegant wedding flowers.
To frame the couple during the ceremony, we designed two statement urn arrangements placed on minimalist plinths, positioned in front of the large window, creating a truly romantic focal point.
The aisle was styled with delicate floral meadows arranged in understated stone vessels. These added texture and softness to the space while keeping the overall look refined, elegant and timeless.

Romantic Autumn Wedding Reception Flowers
Claire and Lee wanted their autumnal wedding flowers to be enjoyed throughout the entire day, so we carefully repurposed their ceremony flowers for the reception. The urn arrangements were moved behind their table, creating a stunning floral backdrop for speeches and evening celebrations.
The versatile aisle meadows were later styled around the venue, including the gorgeous drinks station by Kalm Kitchen, ensuring the florals continued to shine in every corner.
For the table centrepieces, we chose an elegant mix of bud vases and small vessels - a perfect option for long tables. These were filled with the gorgeous blooms, with a subtle addition of fruit woven into the table design, complementing the flowers beautifully. Tall gold stem candlesticks with dinner candles completed the look, creating a cosy, romantic atmosphere that felt warm and inviting as the evening set in.

Timeless Autumnal Wedding Flowers at Millbridge Court
This beautiful wedding was a perfect example of how autumnal wedding flowers can feel soft, romantic and timeless, while still embracing the beauty of the season. From the carefully chosen colour palette to the thoughtful repurposing of flowers, every detail worked together effortlessly - and I loved every second of bringing it all to life for this sweet couple.
