Let’s talk about Cally and Dan’s beautiful wedding at Millbridge Court—a romantic countryside venue in Surrey that always feels like a dream to design in. As a recommended Millbridge Court wedding florist, I’ve had the joy of working at this stylish space many times, and I know exactly how to make flowers shine in every little nook and corner.
From soft autumnal tones to clever flower repurposing, keep scrolling to see how we created floral magic for this lovely couple—and how you can do the same!

Â
A Warm, Earthy Colour Palette With a Touch of Autumn
When I first spoke to Cally and Dan, they were drawn to a classic white and green palette. Timeless, yes—but I had a feeling we could take it one step further. I gently suggested adding a few warmer, more interesting tones to give their florals more depth and personality—and they were all in!
The final palette was a dreamy mix of soft white, beige, sand, peach, and warm brown—like a gentle nod to autumn. Think modern elegance, with an earthy twist. And the result? It looked so good.
We used gorgeous Quicksand and Sand Dune roses, textural white pompom Dahlias, peach Lisianthus Alissa, apricot Matthiola, Waxflower, and a few more seasonal beauties like Achillea, Crocosmia, and frilly Rosanne Terracotta Lisianthus. The textures, the tones—it all came together beautifully.
Stylish Bouquets and Buttonholes
Cally’s bridal bouquet was designed in my signature style: a bit undone, layered with intention, and full of texture. We played with colour-blocking to give it that extra bit of depth, and finished it with flowing silk ribbons in soft, tonal shades—hello, drama (the good kind).
The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Cally’s bouquet, and the buttonholes matched the bouquets perfectly - featuring peach and brown Lisianthus, Crocosmia, soft grasses, and just a hint of foliage, all wrapped in a delicate ivory ribbon.

Ceremony Flowers at Millbridge Court
(Millbridge Court Wedding Florist Tips in Action!)
I love designing for Millbridge Court’s indoor ceremony space. It's light, bright, and full of natural beauty—without needing to compete with outdoor elements like trees and hedges. Cally and Dan were on the same page and chose the indoor space from the start (rain or shine!).
For their ceremony, we went modern and elegant. Tall white plinths held contemporary vessels filled with flowers in warm, neutral tones. We played with height and asymmetry to create a modern, editorial feel, while the aisle was lined with wild-style floral clusters to bring softness and flow. Natural, relaxed, and oh-so-pretty.
Reception Flowers with Purpose & Personality
One of the things I genuinely enjoy as a Millbridge Court wedding florist is helping couples create maximum impact - and that includes repurposing!
Cally and Dan’s ceremony flowers transitioned seamlessly into the reception space. The tall plinth arrangements were moved to either side of their top table (which sat beautifully in front of the large window), while the shorter pieces were used to style the seating plan and other key areas.
On the top table, we used simple ribbed ceramic bud vases filled with seasonal blooms, a few pieces of fruit for texture (and fun!), and modern gold candlesticks with ivory and olive-green tapered candles to add that romantic glow. It all looked relaxed but incredibly elegant.
And the aisle flowers? They made perfect centrepieces for the round guest tables. Designed with dual-purpose in mind, they looked stunning in both settings—and helped the couple make the most of their floral investment.

Outdoor Moments at the Millbridge Court Arbour
Even though the ceremony took place indoors, Cally & Dan couldn’t resist using the gorgeous outdoor Arbour for a few key moments. It became the backdrop for their confetti toss and some seriously joyful portraits captured by Kit Myers. So much love, so much laughter—these two were glowing!

A Little Love from the Couple
Cally and Dan were just the loveliest couple to work with - sweet, open-minded, and full of fun! Designing their wedding flowers was a complete joy, and I’m so honoured they trusted me with such a meaningful part of their day.
Here’s what they had to say:
‘I honestly can't put into words how much we appreciated Zuzanna throughout our wedding planning process.
I'd seen her work on Instagram and reached out immediately. As soon as we spoke on Zoom, I knew I wanted her to be a part of our special day - and that was even before she sent over her beautiful flower proposal!
Initially, I was veering towards just having 2 colours but thank goodness I didn't and listened to Zuzanna's expert advice on incorporating more colours. Looking back at the pictures now, I cannot believe these gorgeous florals were at my wedding. I was completely obsessed with my bouquet!!
Zuzanna is extremely talented and also one of the most kind-hearted people I met during the wedding planning process. I really felt like she cared so much for our day and wanted to make it a success too. I honestly couldn't recommend her enough. I feel very lucky and blessed that she played a part in our special day, and I can't wait to keep in touch and see more of her beautiful creations.’
