As a Hertfordshire wedding florist, working at Ashridge House had always been a dream of mine - so when Leena & Dani got in touch, I was beyond excited to bring their vision to life with beautiful, romantic wedding flowers.
Fast forward to their wedding day, and stepping into Ashridge House quite literally took my breath away. The grandeur, the history, the atmosphere - it truly is one of the most magical wedding venues in Hertfordshire.
Once home to King Henry VIII and Princess Elizabeth I, Ashridge House is a breathtaking Grade I listed estate set within 190 acres of stunning landscaped gardens. It provides the most incredible backdrop for timeless, elegant weddings.
In this post, I’m sharing how we designed Ashridge House wedding flowers that perfectly complemented Leena & Dani’s vision - along with plenty of inspiration for your own day.

Elegant, Untamed Ashridge House Wedding Flowers in Wrm, Neutral Tones
Leena and Dani envisioned wedding flowers that felt classy, romantic, and effortlessly natural, with a slightly untamed, organic style. Their chosen palette centred around warm, neutral tones—soft, earthy, and beautifully timeless.
To bring this to life, I created a layered floral design using a mix of textures and delicate movement. The palette included soft whites, ivories, sand tones, beige, and warm browns, creating a look that felt both elevated and relaxed.
Some of the key blooms included:
Playa Blanca and Quicksand roses
Reflexed Mochaccino roses for added depth
Delicate white Lisianthus Alissa
Pale blush ranunculus
Lisianthus Bohemian Choco
To add softness and movement, I incorporated airy Allium Neapolitanum alongside a variety of textured foliage, giving the designs that signature modern, slightly unstructured feel.
The bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets were designed in my signature style - light, layered, and full of movement, with individual blooms dancing above the outline of the bouquet. Each one was finished with flowing ivory chiffon silk ribbon for a soft, romantic touch.
Buttonholes were kept cohesive and textural, tied with matching ribbon for a polished yet natural look.

Ashridge House Wedding Ceremony Flowers
One of the most iconic moments of the day took place on Ashridge House’s grand staircase.
Leena and Dani made their entrance from opposite sides, meeting at the top before descending together - a moment filled with anticipation, emotion, and joy.
The staircase was adorned with elegant, untamed florals, designed to enhance the space without overpowering it. The soft, neutral tones worked beautifully against the grandeur of the architecture, creating a setting that felt both refined and romantic.

Ashridge House Wedding Reception Flowers
After the ceremony, the flowers were thoughtfully repurposed - something I always encourage my couples to consider.
The staircase arrangements were moved to the top table, where they framed the couple and their closest family beautifully throughout the reception.
Given the richness of the reception space, Leena and Dani chose to keep their table styling minimal and elegant. We styled the round guest tables with clusters of clear glass bud vases, each filled with delicate blooms that tied seamlessly into the overall floral design.
Later in the evening, some of the ceremony flowers were also used to style the cake table, adding a soft, romantic finish to the space.

Leena and Dani were an absolute joy to work with, and being part of their wedding day was such a special experience. I still remember delivering the bouquets to Leena as she got ready with her bridesmaids and her mum - the excitement in the room was just the best feeling.
