Chantelle & Rob had been trying to get married for almost a decade, but life kept getting in the way. Earlier this year, I had the huge pleasure of creating their colourful wedding flowers and bringing their floral vision to life. Being part of their long-awaited wedding day and elevating it with joyful, romantic blooms was so incredibly special.

Keep reading to discover how their beautiful day unfolded and gather plenty of inspiration for your own colourful wedding flowers, fun signage ideas, personalised stationery and meaningful floral touches.

Fun, Colourful Wedding Flowers

As guests arrived at the gorgeous Millbridge Court in Surrey, they were greeted by a playful welcome sign complete with a pocketful of colourful wedding flowers. The wording - “Chantelle’s wedding featuring Rob” - set the tone perfectly for the fun, love-filled celebration that was about to unfold.

From the very beginning, Chantelle envisioned chic, romantic florals in soft shades of pink, peach, yellow and white. To bring that dream to life, I worked with a gorgeous selection of blooms: beautifully fragrant pink and white O’Hara Roses, two-toned Shimmer Roses, White Vuvuzela, frilly pink Lisianthus, textural Wizard of Oz Dahlias, fully opened Majolica Spray Roses, yellow Snapdragons, delicate Campanula, Larkspur and other carefully chosen seasonal stems. Together, they created the most joyful, elegant palette of colourful wedding flowers.

Colourful Bridal and Bridesmaids’ Bouquets

Chantelle’s bridal bouquet was crafted in my signature style - layered, airy, naturally unstructured and filled with textural, romantic varieties. Just a hint of foliage added movement, while long, three-toned silky ribbons draped beautifully for that extra touch of magic. The bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets designed in the same style, using the same blooms to create a cohesive and charming floral story.

Colourful Wedding Ceremony Flowers and Aisle Decor

Inside the ceremony room, guests discovered a playful magazine-style Order of Ceremony reading “It’s happening!” Their chairs were adorned with photos of the couple, adding a truly personal touch. As the singer created a romantic atmosphere, the couple's two boys led the way, and Chantelle walked down the aisle surrounded by vibrant aisle meadows that brought a soft pop of colour and tied the entire space together.

For the ceremony, I created modern, unstructured floral clusters dressing two tall white, 180cm and 90cm tall pillar frames, forming elegant, deconstructed floral pillars that framed the couple beautifully as they (at last!) exchanged their vows and became husband and wife.

The ceremony table included photographs and two white roses - a simple, heartfelt tribute to loved ones who sadly are no longer here.

The couple's incredible celebrant, Helen Noble, even held their sweet baby girl Lily during the ceremony so she could see her mummy and daddy. It was a tender, joyful moment filled with the kind of love that made their wedding unforgettable.

Colourful, Elegant Wedding Reception Flowers

After the ceremony, the flower pillars were repurposed to frame the couple’s sweetheart table, effortlessly creating a romantic, luxurious focal point. Their table was styled with minimalistic bud vases filled with colourful wedding flowers, alongside elegant silver candleholders and soft dinner candles for an intimate glow.

The aisle meadows were designed intentionally so they could double up as beautiful centrepieces for some of the guest tables. The remaining tables were styled with bud vases and candles to echo the sweetheart table design, ensuring a cohesive, elegant floral look throughout the entire reception.

Chantelle and Rob's cake maker, Lisa, created the most beautiful sugar flowers to resemble their actual, fresh wedding flowers I designed with, and it's safe to say she did an incredible job! The cake table was styled with the bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets, creating a beautiful backdrop for the cake.
