Modern, Bold & Oh-So-Romantic Pink and Red Wedding Flowers

Earlier this year, I had the absolute joy of helping a gorgeous couple, Hannah & Jody, bring their vibrant vision to life at the stunning Millbridge Court. Their dream? Pink and red wedding flowers that felt modern, a little bit daring, and overflowing with romance — just like them! The mission was to make a statement, set a joyful and stylish tone, and wrap the whole day in colour and love. From the moment their enquiry landed in my inbox, I was smitten — it’s not every day someone asks for pink and red wedding flowers, and I knew instantly I wanted in! Then came our consultation call, where I found out they were designing their own signage and stationery and ditching confetti petals for colourful wands (I mean… talk about creative!). At that point, I was counting down the days until I could get my hands on those blooms.
Keep scrolling for plenty of dreamy wedding inspiration and to see exactly how we turned their floral dream into reality.

The Perfect Pink and Red Wedding Flower Palette
To make their colour palette sing, I added a touch of ivory and peach to soften the deep reds and bold pinks. The floral line-up was a total dream! I incorporated premium roses, fluffy peonies, frilly lisianthus, striking anthurium and snapdragon and beautifully fragrant matthiola, among other gorgeous blooms. Together, they created a look that was modern, abundant, and full of joyful energy — the perfect match for Hannah & Jody.

Abundant Bouquets for the Bride & Her Bridesmaids
Hannah’s bouquet (and her bridesmaids’!) was everything I love in a bouquet — lush, unstructured, and full of texture. Silky ribbons in dreamy shades trailed from the blooms, catching the light and fluttering in the breeze, adding even more romance. The buttonholes matched the bouquets to perfection, tying the whole wedding party’s look together.

A Romantic Ceremony Framed with Pink and Red Wedding Flowers
Millbridge Court’s big, bright window made the most magical ceremony backdrop. I created a bold floral feature on layered, minimalistic plinths, brimming with pink and red wedding flowers and a touch of lush greenery. Rose petals were sprinkled at their feet and down the aisle — an irresistibly romantic detail that beautifully brought the whole space together.

A Colourful ‘Confetti’ Moment with a Twist
Instead of the traditional toss of confetti, Hannah & Jody’s guests were armed with the most joyful, colourful ribbon wands — and honestly, it was pure magic. As the newlyweds stepped outside, the air filled with swirls of pink, red, peach, and gold ribbons dancing in the breeze. The smiles on everyone’s faces said it all — it was fun, vibrant, and completely mess-free (bonus points for not finding confetti in your hair later on!).
The ribbon wands picked up the colours of the pink and red wedding flowers perfectly, creating a seamless flow from the ceremony to the celebration outside. How awesome and fun are these photos?

Pink and Red Wedding Flower Centrepieces
After the vows were sealed with a kiss, the ceremony flowers were whisked into their second act — framing the couple at the top table so the romance continued all day long. Guest tables were styled with clusters of clear glass bud vases, each holding a mini pop of colour. Together with the couple’s playful menus and chic napkin bows, the whole reception felt vibrant, fun, and bursting with personality.

A Beautiful Tribute to Loved Ones
One of the most touching parts of the day was Hannah and Jody’s thoughtful tribute to their mums, who sadly are no longer with them. They ‘saved seats’ in the front row and had their framed photographs, each adorned with flowers, so their presence could be felt in the most beautiful way. It was such a heartfelt detail, and I'm pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Planning Your Own Pink and Red Wedding Flowers?
Hannah & Jody are the sweetest couple — fun, stylish, and so kind. They even surprised me with a Lego orchid (yes, really!), which my husband and I had the best time building. Now it sits proudly on our bookshelf, a daily reminder of the incredible couples I get to design for.
If you’re dreaming of pink and red wedding flowers or have any other colour palette in mind that feels modern, romantic, and unapologetically you, I’d love to bring your ideas to life!
