Earlier this year, I had the true joy of returning to the stunning Hinwick House to design Jenni and Nick’s colourful, love-filled Northamptonshire wedding flowers. Nestled in the rolling countryside on the border of Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire, this romantic estate is full of history and elegance — a place where floral dreams truly come to life.

With its grand interiors, soft natural light, and charming gardens, Hinwick House offers the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt celebration, and it was such a pleasure to create something special for this lovely couple.

Joyful and Bright Wedding Flowers Northamptonshire Couples Will Love

From our very first chat, Jenni shared her vision for flowers that felt joyful, warm, and full of life — a natural, slightly wild, garden-inspired style with cheerful yellows and oranges at its heart. I absolutely loved helping her bring this vision to life.

We created a seasonal palette full of character, featuring orange and yellow Ranunculus, frilly peach Lisianthus, warm yellow Golden Vuvuzela roses, tall white Delphinium, charming Campanula, and textural details like Yarrow, Tansy, Allium Neapolitanum, and fluttery Butterfly Ranunculus. Delicate foliage elements and grasses added gentle movement and a relaxed, garden-inspired feel — perfect wedding flowers for Northamptonshire couples looking for something joyful and romantic.

A Bright and Cheerful Bridal Bouquet

Jenni’s bouquet was created in our signature style — slightly unstructured, beautifully textured, and full of playful, airy blooms. It felt modern yet timeless, with soft movement and warmth. The bouquet was tied with flowing silk ribbons in buttery yellow and ivory, gently swaying in the breeze and adding a soft, romantic touch.

Nick’s buttonhole was crafted to match the bouquet, using delicate blooms in white and golden yellow — a subtle, thoughtful nod to his bride’s bouquet and a lovely personal touch.

Elegant, Untamed Wedding Ceremony Flowers

The couple’s ceremony took place in the beautiful Drawing Room at Hinwick House. I wanted the flowers to feel as if they belonged there — elegant but relaxed, textural, and a little bit wild.

We placed natural, untamed floral arrangements on white, minimalistic plinths in front of the connecting doorway, using them to softly frame the space. At the base, we added lush meadow-style florals surrounding the couple as they exchanged their vows.

The aisle was lined with matching flower meadows in minimalistic stone vessels, creating a gorgeous pop of colour, adding to the floral abundance, and beautifully tying the whole of the ceremony space together.

Reception Flowers at Hinwick House

After the ceremony, all of Jenni & Nick's Northamptonshire wedding flowers continued to shine throughout the reception. The head table was placed in front of the stunning windows, which flooded the room with light, creating the perfect backdrop.

We repurposed the ceremony arrangements to maximise their impact and presence throughout the day. The tall plinth florals were repositioned to frame the top table, and the meadow pieces were arranged at its base, seamlessly blending with the setting. To complement these, I created beautiful, light and airy mini floral meadows in minimalistic stone vessels, paired with petite vessels filled with delicate, bouncy blooms. I completed the look with elegant gold stem candlesticks and soft tapered candles, adding romance and glow to the evening ambience.

Guest tables were decorated with beautiful, untamed, full centrepieces, styled with the same gold candleholders to create a cohesive, thoughtful look across the space.

Repurposing Ceremony Flowers for the Reception

One of the things I loved most about Jenni and Nick’s wedding was how thoughtfully we repurposed their ceremony flowers to enhance their reception. This is something I often guide my couples through — not only does it allow your florals to make a lasting impression throughout the day, but it’s also a beautiful way to ensure every design element is meaningful and cohesive from beginning to end.

Jenni and Nick’s day is a wonderful example of how your wedding flowers can tell a seamless floral story — from the walk down the aisle to the final dance — adding depth, atmosphere, and emotion at every stage.

If you're currently planning your celebration and curious about how to elevate your floral design by reimagining your ceremony flowers for the reception, I’ve shared more ideas in this blog post.
